Wet N Wild The Bomb Bay

Ranked as Florida's greatest thrill ride in Orlando Magazine, the Wet N Wild Bomb Bay is designed to operate like the area in the fuselage of a military plane from which bombs are dropped. Enter a bomb-like capsule and feel the floor drop from beneath you as you take a heart-stopping plunge down a 76-foot high, nearly vertical slide...

Wet N Wild The Bubba Tub

Family togetherness is the theme of the Wet N Wild Bubba Tub where groups of four people will splash, laugh and scream with delight as they plunge down a six-story, triple-dip slide in a tube big enough for the entire family...

A large, multi-colored air-filled balloon, was created especially for kids. It is crowned with a mushroom-shaped fountain that sprays water over the Wet N Wild's Bubble Up's slippery surface. Children can climb to the top with the aid of a rope and then bounce down the side into the three-foot-deep landing pool while their friends squirt them with water guns...

Escape to old Florida as you float leisurely through reaching palms and flowering hibiscus on Wet 'n Wild newly renovated Lazy River attraction. Drift away to "The Springs" and engulf yourself in thousands of bubbles...

Water Park Reviews

We had a fantastic time visiting Wet 'N Wild on a hot summer day in August. This is a nice park to visit when you want to relax from day-long tours at the theme parks.  Conveniently located on International Drive, Wet 'n Wild is a first class water park owned by Universal Studios. Most of the rides are easily accessible. One of the newest rides at Universal is the Storm, a swirling coaster that throws you out to the ends while you hang on for dear life. If you like rides in the dark, I would suggest the Black Hole, this will keep you in suspense all the way through a never ending black tubular tunnel. If you have small children, they'll love climbing to the top of the Bubble Up ride, and then sliding down under water gun fire. I personally  enjoyed relaxing on an inner tube while winding around the lazy river. Dare to try The Bomb Bay,  vertical 76 foot drop slides with floors that open up at a moments notice. Enjoy a wonderful family day at Wet 'N Wild.  "Wet 'N Wild was definitely worth the trip.  Not surprising, Disney maintained its water parks first class, they looked like they had not aged a bit. The theme of the park is a tropical hideaway which was a shipwrecked fishing boat perched on top of Mount Mayday after a post-storm fallout.  Beautiful shops line the entrance of the park where you can buy your favorite Disney souvenirs. Don't forget to get a locker, an absolute must for people with towels and things. Surrounding the park is Castaway Creek and you'll need to take a bridge over it to get to the main park. Suddenly after a bit of walking, we saw the biggest man made waves you could imagine in the wave pool. They were so big that people were actually surfing the wave while trying to dodge the little folk. We tried the based slides that are in abundance around Mayday Falls. Even though the Storm slides were less then unattractive for an adult, I recommend them for the children.  But the star of the show is the 45 meter drop called Humnga Cowabunga, and they get you to the bottom as fast as possible. "Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool was awesome.

Not to many people know that there is a legend behind the theme of Blizzard Beach. The legend has it that some freak storm occurred over the snow-ski resort and immediately after, the temperature soared causing the ice to melt rapidly. As a result the icy slopes began to melt creating the tallest and fastest down-hill slides in the world. First we tried the bobsleds down "the snowy" slopes of Mt. Gushmore that plunged straight down at 60 mph. We felt like we were in a northern ski resort in the mountains. Imagine, a major ski resort in the middle of a tropical lagoon what a creative idea! Later, we tried the newest waterslide, the Downhill Double Dipper were guests can race down a 50 ft high 200 foot long slide at 25 mph. It takes you twisting and turning before shooting out of a curtain of water. In addition, Mt Gushmore also offers slalom courses, toboggan and water sled runs and the awesome, 120-ft-high Summit Plummet -- the nation's tallest, fastest free-fall speed slide, visible from almost anywhere in the park. "Blizzard Beach was a royal blast. "
