The Utes Football Team of the University of Utah is one of sixteen other sports programs at the college. Following the completion of the 2010 season, the Utes will be moving to the Pacific-10 Conference from their current seat in the Mountain West Conference. This will make them the first school to leave the Mountain West Conference since its formation ten years earlier. As is typical of many other college football teams, the program began in the late eighteen hundreds, 1892 to be exact. Their stadium, Rice-Eccles Stadium, was opened in 1927, and has been their field for home games in Salt Lake City, Utah ever since. Among schools that have ten or more bowl games, the Utes have the highest win percentage in postseason than any other college football team at twelve wins and three losses with their last nine wins being consecutive. The nine consecutive wins are also the longest active winning streak in bowl games to date. The school's overall record is quite respectable too with six hundred and five wins, four hundred and twenty losses, and thirty-one ties. They have also won twenty-four conference titles and promoted four Consensus All-Americans. They are sometimes referred to as a "BCS Buster" because of being the first team to enter and win a BCS Bowl and then enter a second without ever receiving an automatic bid to enter.
