The Aggies, of Texas A&M's football team, were established in 1894 when they began their rivalry with the Texas Longhorns. Since the formation of the Big 12 Conference, the Aggies have been in the south division in 1996. They've advanced a Heisman winner and twenty Consensus All-Americans. The team however has won one national title and nineteen conference titles dating back to their status as charter members of the Southwest Conference in 1915. The team's all-time record is six hundred and sixty-five wins, four-hundred and forty losses, and forty-eight ties with a postseason record of thirteen wins and eighteen losses. Their home turf is Kyle Field, which can seat eighty-three thousand people around their natural grass rectangle in College Station, Texas. Head Coach Mike Sherman is entering his third year at the school, and has a record of ten wins and fifteen losses thus far. Texas A&M have had as many as seven official rivalries since the beginning of the program with their strongest and oldest rivalry being with the Texas Longhorns dating as far back as 1894. Currently, the Longhorns have the lead in their rivalry with seventy-five wins compared to the A&M's thirty-six wins. They also have an active rivalry with the Baylor Bears, Texas Red Raiders, and Arkansas Razorbacks. Now defunct rivalries include the Texas Christian Horned Frogs, Rice Owls, and Louisiana State Tigers.
